marketing.cookiePolicyDescription

Last updated: August 3, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how CradleNote uses cookies and similar browser storage on the CradleNote website and installed web app. It does not describe storage used only inside the native iPhone app; that processing is covered by our Privacy Policy.

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text values stored by a browser and sent with later requests. Local storage and session storage keep values in the browser without automatically sending them to a server. CradleNote uses both where appropriate.

Essential storage

Essential cookies and storage are required to sign you in, protect requests, remember security state, keep the Service reliable, and remember choices you ask us to retain. Depending on the features you use, these values may include:

  • authentication and session cookies used to keep you signed in and prevent unauthorized access;
  • language, theme, navigation, and last-selected care-circle preferences;
  • short-lived web-app launch and reliability identifiers used to diagnose whether an installed web app opened correctly; and
  • your cookie choice, stored locally so we do not repeatedly ask the same question.

These technologies are used because the Service cannot provide the requested sign-in, security, or preference functionality without them. They are not used for targeted advertising.

Optional analytics

If you choose “Accept” in the cookie notice and analytics is configured, CradleNote uses PostHog to measure privacy-filtered page views and limited product interactions. Automatic element capture, session replay, heatmaps, console capture, and advertising profiles are disabled. Protected record text, photos, videos, microphone audio, and full care-record URLs are not intentionally sent as browser analytics.

If you choose “Reject,” optional browser analytics is not initialized. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent you from using CradleNote.

How long storage remains

Session values generally expire when you sign out, the session expires, or the browser session ends. Preference and consent values may remain until you change the preference, clear browser data, or the configured expiration is reached. Short-lived launch diagnostics are bounded and are overwritten or removed during normal use.

Managing your choices

You can accept or reject optional analytics in the website's cookie notice. Use the button below to reopen that notice at any time. You can also clear cookies and site data using your browser settings. Clearing essential session cookies will sign you out, and clearing the stored consent choice will cause the notice to appear again.

Browser privacy controls may block additional storage. CradleNote honors your in-product choice and does not use optional browser analytics when it is rejected or has not yet been given.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our browser technologies change. We will post the updated date and provide additional notice when required. For questions, use the CradleNote contact form.
